I made this workout after completing Body Beast and Core de Force.  I recently completed the Beast Up workout which is only available through Beachbody on Demand and I really enjoyed the "Chest/Tri/Shoulder" workout.  I began thinking how I could go through Body Beast with the BUILD workouts and the BEAST workouts mixed together while adding Core De Force for the cardio component.  I was recently getting a little bored with the standard "Lean Beast" and "Huge Beast" so I wanted to try out some other body building techniques into the workouts as noted below.

I was attempting to accomplish the following things with this workout:
  • 2 BUILD workouts for every 1 BULK workout.
  • Make cardio day a little better by using the Core De Force Workouts

I made the following changes to the typical Body Beast Workouts:
  • 7 sets of 7 for all force sets in the BULK workouts.
  • Focus on the negative movements in the BUILD shoulder workouts.
  • Preacher curls replace standing dumbell curls in all workouts that call for standing dumbell curls.
  • Dumbell pullovers for back were performed on an incline bench instead of a flat bench.
  • The incline press at the beginning of BULK chest was replaced with an incline bench.

Give this workout a try and let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Thanks,
Steve Franz

You asked and I'll answer! Egg roll in a bowl recipe is here. I totally winged this recipe, but my family is super happy with the results. It's versatile and you can adjust and substitute as needed.  I started by browning 1 1/2 - 2 pounds of meat. I used grass fed local ground beef but you could also use ground turkey... and next time I plan to try browned sausage.  Once browned I added to it: 1 Tbs coconut oil (sesame would be good as well) 2 chopped onions 1 cup shredded (or finely chopped) carrots Fresh garlic (as much or as little as you like, I used about 2 tsp chopped)  Once that was browned, I added:  1/2 cup organic beef broth 1 1/2 tsp powdered ginger 1 1/2 tsp salt Black pepper to taste Crushed red pepper to taste  4 tsp liquid aminos (or soy sauce)  4 Tbs sweetener (raw organic cane sugar or honey both work well)  Then toss in 1 whole head of chopped cabbage. Reduce heat and let it all simmer until cooke...
